Improving the English skills of Japanese kids here is the Sharp Papyrus PW-GT550 dictionary. Unlike other electronic dictionaries we have seen this one has a secondary display which is a touchscreen with handwriting recognition. It has a robust Text to speech engine so students can learn pronunciation also. The PW-GT550 has a 5.4 inch (320 x 240) display, SD card slot and a MP3 player. The unit measures 142×108×12 - 19mm and weighs 256 grams. The dictionary will be available in two colors white and pink.

The Sharp Papyrus PW-GT550 will go on sale in Japan from January 25th for 56,700 Yen ($ 470).
