Sharp Japan has announced the BD-HDW range of Blu-Ray recorders with the BD-HDW20 and BD-HDW15 which come with 1 Terabyte and 500GB of onboard hard drives respectively. Apart from the hard drive both share the same specifications and have all what you can expect from a Japanese media recorder - Dual TV tuner for recording two programs simultaneously, HDMI output, i-Link for connecting to other Sharp devices an Dolby DTS. Supported media also include dual layer BD-R/RE discs apart from single layer discs.

Sharp BD-HDW20 and BD-HDW15 will go on sale in Japan from December 1st for 300,000 Yen ($ 2600) and 200,000 Yen ($ 1735) respectively.
