
Sharp has announced the swiss knife of TV's with the LED AQUOS DR Series. These babies will come with two digital and one analog TV tuner, an internal 500 GB DVR and a Blu-ray recorder at the side which can burn Blu-Ray discs at the push of a button. With three tuners you can view one channel while simultaneously recording two different channels on the DVR and Blu-Ray. The TV's will come in two sizes 40 and 32 inches respectively, sadly only the 40 incher supports full HD while the 32 inch model sulks with 1,366 × 768 resolution. The TV's come with an easy to use video editing program, networking capabilities, 10W x 2 ch speakers, tons of AV connectivity options and an optional USB adapter which for Wi-Fi access. Sharp plans to release them in mid-October for 180,000 Yen ($ 2200) and 250,000 Yen ($ 2750). Even a Swiss knife is never complete, similarly this one lacks 3D playback.
