Its working is very simple connect your PC, turn on the switch and you have 8 dedicated USB 2.0 ports for the PC so you can plug in your iPod dock to transfer songs and stick up your Pen drive to copy data. You can connect two PC's but both of them cannot be used simantaneously as you have to choose between the two using a selector switch. The hub is powered by an AC adapter. Apart for data transfer you can use it as a standalone unit for charging your USB powered gadgets without a PC.
