Sanyo DMX-HD2 the mini HD video camera is back

Sanyo pleased HD fans with the Xacti, as it was compact, feature packed and could record video in 720p. Here is the successor to the Xacti the DMX-HD2 which packs in a 7.38 Megapixel sensor, supports 8GB SDHC cards and has the Platinum Engine II for better image quality and ISO 1600 support. The base station of the HD2 packs in HDMI output a feature absent with the HD1. When it comes to optics there is no change as the HD2 shares the same 10X optical lens. The superquality in HD mode records in 1,280×720 dot resolution at 720p with a bit rate if 9Mbps, a 4GB card can hold 58 minutes of recording. Other features include pop up flash and 2.2 inch TFT-LCD, The battery now gives 13% more juice and provides 85 minutes of recording or 180 still picture shoots.


The Sanyo DMX-HD2 measures 80×36×119mm and weighs 235 grams. It will be available in Japan from March, however pricing is not available yet.
