Santa Monica's new Ferris wheel is lit by 160,000 LEDs making it the funkiest one. But the fun doesn't stop there; apparently it's solar powered by the same panels that powered the Pacific Wheel. The replacement cost $1.5 million dollar and the resultant visual treat is hooked up to an imaging controller, allowing for all kinds of visual feasts- hearts on Valentines day, snowflakes in December, and a picture of John Stamos whenever a Full House rerun is airing!
