Sandisk Sansa double the capacity and same price as the Nano

sandisk_sansa.jpgSanDisk is all set to make the iPod makers run for money and market favoritism. It has dropped in a new digital music player that can store as much as twice the number of music files as the flagship iPod Nano for almost the same price. The Sansa player will come equipped with 8 gigabytes of storage capacity thereby enabling you to store as upto 2000 songs. "The most costly ingredient in a flash-based (music) player is the flash memory," said Eric Bone, director of audio/video product marketing at SanDisk. "Since we make the flash memory, we essentially remove the middleman and pass that savings directly to the consumer." It also includes a Micro SD card slot which can swallow a card upto 2GB pegging the total capacity to 10GB.

Another thing that is sure to capture your eye is that the new player will cost only one dollar less that iPod Nano which comes with 4GB of storage space. It goes for a price of $249. Bet, you can't get a better deal than this…
