Samsung YV-150 Voice Pen

A new kind of pen is doing the rounds and is convenient, it’s called Samsung YV-150 Voice Pen. Making life easier for a lot of people, the device is an MP3 player masquerading as voice recorder. It supports MP3, WMA and WMA-DRM music and it has an FM tuner too. The voice recorder is incidental to the player; it records to the internal flash memory with storage capacities of 512MB or 1GB. Your recording can be recorded in three modes SP at 32kbps, HQ at 64kbps, and SHQ at 128kbps. But what really takes the cake is the “text-to-speech program” which converts text into MP3 voice so that you can listen to a file at leisure.

Samsung YV-150 Voice Pen can work with six languages including Chinese, English, and Japanese. It features built-in speakers and has a 20-hour playback time. We don’t think this Pen will head to the U.S. shores anytime soon but some in China can snap up the 512MB model for 1,249CNY ($163) or 1GB for 300CNY ($40) more.
