The Samsung Yepp YP-P2 goes on sale in Korea tommorow, the touch screen based PMP is Samsung's latest to take on the iPod Touch. Maybe we will soon see a similar touchscreen based phone from the Korean giant. The 9.9mm thick device has a 3 inch 16:9 wide OLED touchscreen supporting 480 x 272 resolution. An added advantage it has over the iPod is Bluetooth 2.0 via which you can transfer content from mobile phones and other Bluetooth compatible devices as well as hook up wireless headphones. Like the iTunes store Samsung Korea will be launching a Korea only service (SMS - Samsung Media Studio) where users can download music and videos. It take sharing to a new level as three users can simultaneously listen to whats playing one with a wired earphone and two using Bluetooth headphones and with a wide viewing angle of 80 degrees the display is viewable from the side as well.
The Samsung Yepp YP-P2 will be complemented by the optional BH270 Bluetooth stereo headset and BS300 portable stereo Bluetooth speakers. To be launched in a variety of colors Blue, White and Red the 2GB version will sell for 199000 KRW ($ 220), 4GB for 239000 KRW ($ 261) and 8GB for 289000 KRW ($ 315).
