Samsung shows off 7.9 mm 40 inch LCD giving LG jitters at IMID

thumb_430_IMG_2_4.JPG Globally everyone is keen to cut costs to cope with the shattered image of markets, when it comes to the technology markets we see a different kind of war being fought. Cutting corners sure pays when it comes to LCD screen sizes, and when it’s cutting the thickness of these screens there is hardly anything stopping such a product from being the most desirable objects. Samsung and LG both displayed their latest OLED technology LCD TVs. LG had a smart 19-inch OLED panel on display but the Samsung ultra thin range of OLED screens. Samsung showed a 14-inch color electronic paper HD panel, a 31-inch full-HD panel and a 5-inch Wide VGA plastic LCD driven by amorphous Si TFT.

Among the other of Samsung’s offerings, there was a unique a 15-inch Blue Phase mode LCD panel along with a 7.9mm-thick 40-inch LCD TV and a 9.8mm-thick 52-inch TV.
