Samsung has officially unveiled their new Series 5 Ultrabooks in South Korea which come in two sizes of 14-inch and 13-inch, and list of specs like Intel’s Core i5 processor with a choice of 128GB SSD (or HDD) storage and up to 8GB RAM for enhanced performance. The 14-inch flavor is 20.9mm thin with a sleek aluminum chassis and comes equipped with features like an anti-reflective 1366×768 display, 1TB HDD with 16GB SSD, an optical disc drive, AMD HD7550M GPU. Other features include USB port, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VGA port and HDMI port.

The 13-inch model is thinner at just 14.9mm thickness and has a similar resolution display with anti-reflective coating, 500GB HDD with 16GB SSD, integrated Intel graphics, and different ports like USB / Ethernet / VGA / HDMI and Wi-Fi. Besides, it jus weighs 1.4kg. Both the models will come with ExpressCache feature which allow them to boot from hibernation to the desktop in about 7 seconds. Also Samsung’s Fast Start makes the notebook hop from sleep mode to main screen in just 2 seconds. Both the versions will be available by the end of December for a price range of US$ 1,125-1,298 for 13-inch and US$ 1,167- 1,341 for the 14-inch model.
