Samsung goes berserk launches 8 new models

samsung-s5050.jpg Samsung doesn’t seem to have slept through the recession yet, if the initial product announcements were not enough, it has now decided to launch 8 new phones for different consumers. We start with the Samsung S5050 which is a slider handset that includes a 3.2 megapixel camera and touch-sensitive keys. This would be the first mid-range product from Samsung, and one that sports a 2.2-inch OLED display. The phone also features a LED flash, an FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth and USB 2.0 connectivity, 50MB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot. One of the simplest dual-SIM handsets offered by the Korean company is the Samsung C5212. It includes a 2.2-inch display that provides a 176x220 pixel resolution and supports 262K colors. The built-in microSD card slot allows for the 40MB internal memory to be expanded to as much as 4GB. Other features include Bluetooth and USB connectivity and a 1.3-megapixel camera, as well as GPRS and EDGE for network data transfers.

S3310 is another mid-range phone leaked today from Samsung, which has a 2.1-inch QVGA display that supports 16M colors, an FM radio and a 2 megapixel camera, as well as Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0 connectivity. The 99.9 x 48 x 13.9 mm candybar includes a 30MB internal memory, as well as a microSD memory card slot.

The only clamshell in the list is Samsung E2210, with a 1.77-inch display that delivers a 128x160 pixel resolution and supports up to 262K colors. The handset also comes with a secondary external display, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, a VGA snapper and only USB connectivity. The device measures 94 x 46.5 x 18.5 mm.

Samsung E1360 is an entry-level slider that brings along a 1.77-inch CSTN display providing a 128x160 pixel resolution, 65K colors, and dual-band (900/1800 MHz) GSM support. Samsung E1210 and Samsung E1125 prove themselves to be two ultra-basic bar-shaped phones that include support for dual-band (900/1800 MHz) GSM connectivity and a 65K color CSTN display.

Samsung E1210 boasts a 1.77-inch screen able to deliver a 120x160 pixel resolution, while E1125 sports a 1.52 inch screen with a 128x128 pixel resolution. E1210 provides GPRS network data transfers, while E1125 comes without wireless data transfer capabilities.

And finally the last one called the Samsung E1100, which is provided with a 1.53-inch display and GSM connectivity. These phones are sure enough to keep the rumor mills and many reviewers happy comparing it with their contemporaries in the mobile market.
