Samsung gets the Beat twice with the Beat-b and Beat-s

samsung-beats.jpgSamsung has introduced two new music centric phones in its very new Beat Edition series, the BEAT-b M3510 and BEAT-s M3200. Drawing on Samsung's own media experience, the phones sport a candybar and slider designs respectively. Both phones are equipped with dedicated music controls and motion-sensitive functions. So you can now shake the phones iPod nano-style to skip tracks and tap them to play or pause along with an option to put the phone on full mute by placing it face-down on a table. Both also have a 2-megapixel camera, tri-band GSM, 3.5 mm jacks, microSD support, stereo Bluetooth, and FM radio. Both handsets use Samsung's Digital Natural Sound engine with Auto EQ to enhance audio quality. While the Beat-b is more of a low-end phone, the Beat-s is additionally attributed with features like mood-based song sorting, which turn your track to your current mood status, Samsung's latest DNSe technology, and Bang & Olufsen-sourced ICEpower audio processor for more public listening.

The Beat-b M3510 is apparently powered by a battery that should let you enjoy 19hrs music; 5hrs talk time and 250hrs in standby. The M3200 is a bit higher end, offering 21hrs music; 7hrs talk time and 400hrs in standby. Expect to see the Beat-s M3200 by the end of this month, and Beat-b M3510 by October, no word yet on the pricing of the devices.
