Samsung is bringing the goodness of Android OS to non-phone and non-tablet gadgets called the Galaxy Player. These will be available in two models i.e. 4.0 and 5.0 for $229 and $269, respectively. Simply put it, this phone-free version of the company’s shining Galaxy Android smartphone lineup. It is similar to what Apple did through iPod Touch before it came up with the hyper-hyped iPhone.

Both the models differ only in screen size (4-inch and 5-inch) and will run on Android 2.3.5 accompanied with front (VGA) and rear (3.2mp) cameras, the official Android Market, FM radio, an integrated speaker, excellent music format support (including AAC, FLAC, and OGG), video format support (Xvid, DivX, H.264, MPEG4), Bluetooth 3.0, and microSD memory expansion up to 32GB.
