We have been on the Samsung Croix (Samsung Ultra Smart F700) trail for quite some time now and here is more gossip on the piece. According to one announcement, the F700 (aka Croix) will be out in U.K. on Vodafone sometime this Christmas. It is also believed that the phone will come free with a monthly contract. Compared to the offers on the iPhone, where one is expected to pay 200 pounds ($400) for the handset upfront, this sounds pretty neat.

On a tangent, Vodafone also announced its deal with Omnifone, the creators of MusicStation that will let you download tracks from Universal Music Group, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, EMI Music and Warner Music Group direct to your handset. You'll also be able to sign up for unlimited downloads from MusicStation for just 1.99 pounds ($4) per week.
