Samsung also eyeing Google’s Android TV as their next target

It seems that Samsung is also considering going to into the manufacture of Google TVs, at least that’s what The Korea Herald, an English-language newspaper based in South Korea says they heard from a company executive. What we expect to see are TV sets that run on the Android OS which is nothing new as Sony and Intel are already doing their work on the same project but they’re working on a set-top box option and then there’s the Swiss’ People of Lava who already have their TV. Samsung’s TV’s are of course already quite ‘connectable’ with DLNA functionality etc. and they’ve even launched their own application store for calling it Samsung Apps just for their TV range. They’re a little bit late but they’ve got potential to fare better than their competitors. Let’s see what develops.
