Roxio Easy VHS to DVD converter for those of us still stuck in the past
If you are stuck with the old VCR for one more season, the Roxio Easy VHS to DVD converter may come handy. The Easy VHS to DVD is a USB device with S-Video and composite-video inputs for capturing analog video sources. Just attach the dongle: one end goes into your computer's USB port, the other goes into any analog video or audio source. That means the kit can also be used to transfer LPs and cassettes. The software portion of the program allows you to make chapters, titles and even add effects on video—or create playlists and tracks for albums.
The Easy VHS to DVD will retail for approx $60. The device and software can also output video to mobile devices and online video-sharing sites. It can capture audio from tape and LP players while the software will automatically split LP audio into individual tracks.
