Who needs a guard dog when you can get a robot instead. And with the multitasking ones that KTF and Yujin Robot have co-developed, you will get one that can clean and guard the house at the same time. This vacuum-cleaning robot can keep an eye on the house when the master's away and send him an alarm messages (on his cellphone) when it senses an intruder. The robot owners can even remotely move the machine around from outside with their cellphone keypad, akin to playing with a RC car. KTF has provided the mobile telephony technologies for the vacuum-cleaning guard dog, while Yujin developed its hardware and software. The robot detects motions of objects with its motion sensor, but heck even Tommy can scoot out a stray rat or raccoon, who needs hi-tech robots for that!

KTF and Yujin Robot will showcase their new multitasking robot at the BcN Conference next week at Lotte Hotel in southern Seoul. Though they have not yet disclosed the price and launching date of the cleaner, but they promise it won't cost a bomb.
