Roberts Solar DAB radio is the first ever
Roberts debuts its solarDAB radio, which boasts of being the world's first solar-powered DAB radio. The radio features a solar panel integrated into the top of the unit, which absorbs direct sunlight in order to power the radio. If the level indicator on the display screen shows the strength of the solar level as over half, the unit is being powered directly by the sun. Once fully charged, the batteries will last up to 27 hours, even in the dark. The radio can also be used and charged via the mains.
Roberts solar DAB radio tunes to both Band III and L, features a white backlit LCD which gives station and program information, has a line-in jack for connecting other audio devices, plus headphone socket. It comes in black, white, pink, red, and green, for £79.99 or $159.
