Ricoh GXR is first ever unit camera system

Ricoh-GXR-1.jpg The Ricoh GXR is the first ever unit camera system that allows a single unit camera that slots lenses. However, the camera unit doesn’t have a sensor itself. The sensor is packed inside the lens attachment. All the attachments of the camera are completely dust-proof and sealed. The main advantage of a unit camera system is that the lenses, sensors and image processing chips can all be packaged in the same box. What’s more is that the lenses and sensors do not need mounting hardware between them.

The Ricoh GXR will cost a total of £719 (~ $1,200) and will be available by December.
