Remo Robot uses Bluetooth to communicate
Remo (a.k.a. Remote Brain) has been able to keep its creative insides visible without a glossy white body to shield it. The CPU of the robot is customized to its requirements and is capable of communicating with a remote PC using Bluetooth 2.0. It also uses this to get its operation instructions. Other features include stereo color CCD cameras and pressure controls, 20 DOF (serial servos: PRS-DE07MS, 7.1kg/cm torque), LiPo battery powered as well as AC adapter.
On the downside, Remo costs a whopping $4,358. Now that’s a huge price to pay. However, there will be some better acceptance for this one in the near future and hopefully a lighter price tag.
