QinetiQ Millimeter wave system, making waves.

wave_camera.jpg Travelling today can be termed as a job in itself. You need so much of patience to get from one place to the other, security hampers the speed of travelers in any mode. The Transportation Security Administration has purchased a dozen cameras that use millimeter wave technology and sophisticated algorithms to screen crowds of rapidly moving travelers for weapons from up to 20 meters away. The SPO threat detection system made by QinetiQ measures waves naturally emitted by human body, exposing cold objects such as metal, plastics, or ceramics concealed under clothing. A red light on the systems display alerts the operator if you're loaded, no more lazy eyes staring at dull screens trying to figure out images.

The imaging technology is safe the 'Millimeter Wave system' generate no emissions in iself, but creates an image from the reflected body energy, according to the company.
