If you are a sucker for computer aesthetics then LED fans will interest you a lot. But what’s more interesting is that these fans can also display text! Until now they've been limited to a word or two pre-programmed into them by the manufacturer, but Polo Tech from Taiwan has patented a display technology that lets you display any text even your name on the fan that can be changed in real-time! The display is achieved by a rotating circuit board with a vertical array of LEDs attached uses persistence of vision to display the graphics. The IC’s on the circuit can even handle simple graphics and animation and color change. You can change the text and graphics of the fan in real time through an internal USB connection and software.

The prototype displayed by Polo Tech at Computex reportedly generated positive interest. The image was sufficiently bright and could be easily seen even in the full-on interior light of the conference hall. The pricing is expected to be around $7 for the same.
