The shirts have a tiny camera on the front that looks through a pinhole to detect the object on the portal shirt before it. And it sends the image across with much pomp and show to be displayed on a TFT LCD screen that’s located on the chest area. There’s about of 2190mAh charge needed to power the shirts, and this comes from the Li-ion battery that’s on them. The batteries take about 4.2 hours to recharge and run out in a mere 2 hours. So you can enjoy wearing the shirt for just 2 hours and for the rest of the time, appear to be a total dork.

The Portal shirts ask the golden one word question of all time, “why?”. Well, I also wonder ‘why’ would anyone spill out $99 for something so abstract.
