Can a simple piece of wood inspire a complicated technical device? Yes it can…designer Hideo Kanbara of the KDDI Designing Studio has designed the Ply concept phone, which takes inspiration from the pasted pieces of wood. This multilayered phone packs in multiple functions like printing, gaming, projector and photography into its sleek frame. It slides both sideways and upwards to display it functionalities and is designed in many hues. Awesome concept but whether practical or not is still a big question.
