Plantronic Voyager 835 – The dual mic headset
The Voyager 835 is not Plantronics’ first noise-canceling headset, but it is the first to sport dual microphones, which in addition to other technologies are meant to deliver clearer sound to callers on both ends of the line. The Voyager 835 offers up something called Dual-Mic AudioIQ, “a combination of its proprietary DSP algorithm which intelligently optimizes audio levels and fidelity on both sides of a conversation, with precisely configured dual microphones to significantly reduce background noise.” The dual microphones reportedly work with one capturing voice while the other filters out background noise.
Other features of the 835 include contoured, universal-fit eartips, volume and call answer/end controls and the ability to take calls from any two Bluetooth phones. It should be available before September end for a decent price of $120.
