At the Ceatec exhibition Pioneer showcased the HVT concept of audio system. Firstly HVT stands for 'Horizontal Vertical Transforming' the complex name because the speakers work by converting the horizontal motion of the voice coil into vertical motion due to which the speakers can maintain a slim profile and yet deliver a knock out punch when it comes to output. Still in its development stage Pioneer is planning to expand the HVT concept to car audio as well.
