Philips showcases portable DVD players and other media solutions at IFA

A host of gadgets are being showcased in Berlin and here is what Philips is showing in the portable DVD range. Philips PVD1075 a 10” portable DVD player with DVB-T, PET835 also portable DVD player and Philips PET1030. Also showcased were a range of flash based MP3 players with video playback capability. The PVD1075 integrates DVB-T tuner as well as an analogue tuner with a 10.2-inch screen. Just hook it to the antenna to view free-to-air digital TV and radio channels. It also features a seven-day Electronic Program Guide. Other specs include an SD/MMC slot for playback, an integrated battery for more than 2.5 hours of viewing time. The PET1030 sports a 10” screen where as the PET835 has an 8.5” screen. The PET 1030 has a 180-degree swivel screen. Video formats supported include DVD+/-R, DVD+/-RW, (S) VCD and MPEG4 and offer MP3/WMA-CD, CD and CD-RW music playback. The PET835 has a three-hour battery life while the PET1030 boasts an impressive five-hour playback time. They are available in black and silver.
There is no word on pricing or availability of the Philips range of DVD players showcased at the IFA 2007.
