Philips Pronto NX PowerLite

We forgive you for assuming that the Pronto NX PowerLite from Philips is a media player; it is actually a remote control! It sports a "VGA screen that organizes entertainment into activities on dynamic Web pages, there's control of not only audio and visual sources but a built-in Escient Fireball music server and Lutron RadioRa lighting control with complete on-screen feedback." The device works on IR but can hook onto a WiFi network. This enables it to control the (optional) Serial Extender, which is a rack-mounted appliance with four individually addressable IR ports and four serial ports.
Priced at $1,836, the Pronto NX PowerLite from Philips is ony for Mr. Moneybags!
