More on the Pre IFA front is from Philips. Who would have thought, Philips would be the first company to bring out an Android powered media device. The much rumoured about GoGear Connect is going to be officially unveiled at IFA 2010. This baby is going to be similar to the GoGear Muse, at least that’s what the image going around say with a 3.2-inch touchscreen. It’ll feature goodies from Google of course including a web browser, because, yes, that’s right, the Connect will be equipped with Wi-Fi too. If the onboard apps don’t do it for you, just hook up to the Android market and download all you want.

Of course this GoGear model too will come loaded with Philips’ FullSound technology to help make your audio experience that much better, and let’s not forget the Sound isolation earphones that block out background noise so you can hear your tunes in ‘peace and quiet’. A MicroSD card slot makes sure that you always have plenty of storage space. And here’s another little fun feature straight off the GoGear cam and one up on the iPod Touch, the Connect will also feature a camera that records video as well (resolution unknown).

The Philips GoGear Connect will be available in Western Europe, USA & China from the end of October 2010. The recommended retail price is $314.5 (EUR 249) for the 16GB version. Look out iPod, the GoGear Connect is coming for your stainless steel hide!
