The most flamboyant of Philips light fittings has to be the LivingColors lights. The embedded color projection source is cocooned in an egg-shaped glass orb. Philips has designed a special heat sink into the lamp to absorb the excessive heat of the LED. The light provides both ambient and directed illumination, allowing you to play with the lighting to suit your mood. This exceptional fixture can emit 16 million unique colors (something like the LED blob but way better), which are controlled via a wireless RF remote (works through the walls!). The remote has the capacity to control up to six lights at a time and keeps their colors in sync to create a magical effect!

Philips LivingColors are set to debut in Europe before summer ends. The other countries will have to wait a bit longer. Each light fixture will cost € 149, that's about $200.
