Panasonic Viera Z series - Full HD TVs with Wireless HD

pana1_03.jpg The new Z series of LCD TV's from Panasonic Japan are thin, light and consume about 50% less power than its competitors. To be made available in 46", 50" and 54", Panasonic has made use of the newly developed 'Neo-Plasma' panel. The full HD panels sport a contrast ratio of 40000:1 are DLNA compatible and are super thin, the 46 incher is a mere 24.7mm thick. The icing on the cake is the optional WiressHD transmitter which helps you get rid of the clutter of cables hanging around the TV. The transmitter operates on the 60GHz band and makes use of 'beam steering technology' which ensures crystal clear transmissions for upto 10 meters inspite of obstacles. The Viera Z series will be hitting stores in Japan by April 20.
