Palm officially announced two "soft-touch" colors on a new special edition series of Centros, which will feature expanded memory of 128MB, along with a few new applications. The new Centros come in Olive green and Vibrant rose, both colors will have the soft touch paint. This soft-touch paint gives users a better grip, and it just feels nice. The handsets will support voice, text, IM and email messaging. The MP3-capable phone sports a 1.3-megapixel camera that can take photos and videos and store them to either built-in memory or a microSD memory card. Apart from which the devices will sport new applications like Facebook for Palm and Google Maps with My Location features, to widen its user base. The device will sport a 320x320-color touchscreen display, which lets users watch Sprint TV channels that include CNN mobile, FOX Sports, The Weather Channel, and Disney Channel.

The Palm Centros special edition will be offered at a special promotional price of $79.99 with a two-year subscriber agreement and a $100 mail-in rebate and $25 or higher data add-on by January 10, 2009.
