packard-bell-441.jpgIf you think the infamous PC manufacturer of the 80’s and the 90’s Packard Bell is out of business or rather has gone in hiding, then you’re wrong. To your surprise, they are still doing a good job in European markets. They just announced two new navigation systems; the Compasseo 500 and 600 in addition to their already existing GPS400 model. They two are unique for their small size and for not having buttons on the top. With an integrated SiRF III GPS receiver and antenna, the navigation systems are powered by a 266 MHz processor and run on 64MB of RAM. The systems also boast of TFT LCD 3.5″ touch screen with 240 x 320 resolution, JPEG viewer and a MP3 player.

With a size of 94 x 74 x 18 mm, the systems weigh just 166g. Compasseo 500 comes with maps of France on a 256MB SD memory card and Compasseo 600 is delivered with maps of France, Germany and the main roads of Europe on a 512 MB SD memory card. Compasseo 500 and 600 will hit the shelves of Europe in August with respective price of 299 Euros ($379) and 329 Euros ($471).
