LG Korea has announced that it has sold around 5 million units of its Cookie phone since its launch 9 months ago. LG has sold around 3 million units in Europe alone with Asia, Latin America and other emerging markets constituting the balance. The Korean giant has done some number crunching as well, if 5 million of them were laid side by side they would cover the distance of Seoul - Busan expressway (535 kms) 1.3 times. The success of the phone is a result of attractive design, easy to use UI and low price.
