Here’s one more reason why I wished to be born in Japan, apparently ten elementary schools in Osaka have decided to hand out Nintendo DS gaming devices to boost their brains before the drudgery of school life. A 20-minute burst of the 'brain training' exercises on Nintendo's DS console at the start of the day apparently improves performance in maths tests by as much as 10 per cent, according to a Scottish study. Now the common curse of gaming isn’t that far when it comes to implementing consoles as teaching aids, apparently people are taking objection for the use of taxpayer money in these apparently time wasting endeavors. As for me I would love to see a classroom taking their physical fitness class using the Wii Fit.
