Are you unable to live without your iPad or iTouch? Does your iPad usage cause friction between you and your loved one? The answer to your problems may be at your iPad loving fingertips. Mel Sampat, a former Microsoft employee, has developed Cupidtino, a lonely hearts site for Apple fans who are looking for like-minded lovers, or “Machearts”. The name Cupidtino is a clever little play on the name of Apple’s home town of Cupertino, Calif and of course that famous little arrow shooting God of lurve. Cupidtino is based on the premise that if you are attracted to people with similar interests, why shouldn’t you be suited to a fellow iPhone or Mac user? 16,000 Apple addicts have registered on Cupidtino since the site was launches in June, and are happily reminiscing about their earliest Apple purchases and favorite iPhone apps on their profile pages. The site mimics Apple’s crisp style and black, white and gray color scheme, but it is not officially endorsed by Apple. It can be accessed from a Mac, iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, but Cupidtino does not allow iPhone registration because these users can't upload photos. However, Cupidtino has plans for iPhone and iPad applications in the pipeline. If you wish to join Cupidtino, it’ll set you back $5 per month, but who can put a price on love?
