Oldest working computer in Britain is revived

Oldest_working_computer.jpg After almost 30 years in the dust, the Harwell computer, more lovingly knows as the WITCH is receiving a fresh breath of life. It ran on 900 Dekatron gas-filled tubes which were capable of holding no more than a single digit each. It was used in Britain for the first nuclear reactors.

Keeping in mind the time when it was out in its previous fully functional stint, we should consider its revival as a mighty step to bring about the appreciation of the technology that led to today’s development.
