NTT DoCoMo announced the F1100 and HT1100 smartphones

HT1100.jpgTwo new smartphones from the house of NTT DoCoMo were revealed; the FOMA F1100 and FOMA HT1100, both of which boast of features that will impress you. The smartphones are HSDPA enabled and run on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Japanese-edition operating system. To protect the phones against virus etc.(via the net), they come loaded with the McAfee security scan. Other specs include the standard ten-key input layout. Getting specific, the HT1100 is similar to HTC Touch with an add-on physical dial-pad. It features TouchFLO Touch Cube 3-dimentional interface that allows user to access and operate a variety of functions with the slide of a thumb. Audiovisual files, such as YouTube Mobile content can be accessed through Streaming Media software and HTC’s Audio Manager music player. Additionally it supports DoCoMo’s WORLD WING international roaming service.

F1100.jpgThe FOMA F1100 targets business people, featuring both FOMA and wireless LAN networks for IP telephony. Thus the F1100 doubles up as a VoIP mobile phone using in-house WLANs equipped for DoCoMo’s PASSAGE DUPLE service or the business mopera IP Centrex service. A fingerprint verification feature is included to protect the phone from misuse. DoCoMo plans to launch the phones by the first quarter of 2008.
