Nokia’s Surge will bridge the gaps of our dormant social life
With a ray of hope, we can keep a few more green bills ready in an attempt to do what our ancestors strived to achieve: robust, faultless communication. To bring alive this hope we have a new phone, announced by Nokia as the ‘Surge’. The phone is targeted towards providing better communication with the help of various mediums such as instant messaging, email and of course, calling and messaging. The interesting part is that AT&T is also part of the plot and has added its Navigator, Mobile Music, Video Share and JuiceCaster features, all bundled up in the Surge. There will be quite a bit of enthusiasm as far as the design of the phone goes. I really appreciate the brilliance of Nokia to hit on the word ‘social’ rather than the usual ‘connect’.
Michael Woodward from AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets said, "Launching at 79.99 USD with a complete email solution, downloadable applications and full HTML browser with Flash support, Nokia Surge hits the sweet spot between a quick messaging phone and a smartphone because of its low-price and strong feature set".
