Nokia is en route to a very functional (probably) invention. Just when you thought that the features in your Nokia phone was the best they could offer, they came up with the idea of a lightning detector. Now this feature is something that may be of use for all those who love out-bound adventures and are sweating it out in the wild instead of nestling indoors. You may see Nokia Corp add this feature to theor wide range of phones someday which will warn the users of lighting strikes. The Finnish manufacturer has already applied for a U.S. patent for this particular detecting system in the cell phones. It will apparently function on the radio frequency receivers in mobile phones, like the GSM and FM radio to dectect the radio waved which are emmited by the lightning strikes.

Nokia has designed a special software system that will help in analysing the signals, distance and warns the users of the same. Now this is like a bolt from the blue!
