Nikon have gone a long way into the world of HD readiness with the release of five cool, new cameras in the CoolPix line. To start off with, we have the P100 ($569) that comes with full HD support and a cool 26x optical zoom. It also packs a 3 inch LCD screen and a 10 megapixel CMOS sensor. Next, we have the 12 megapixel L110 ($374) with 15x optical zoom and image stabilization. Talking about a smaller size makes sense, and for those who seek compactness the third camera in the line, the S4000 is good enough. It comes with a 3 inch screen, HD recording and 12 megapixel sensor.

The best thing Nikon have done is added a couple of budget cameras to this line. The L22 (10 megapixel/$152) and the L21 (8 megapixel/$110) complete the line of cameras in this category. Both offer 3.6x optical zoom.
