Acrossair has developed a new app for iPhone users in central London, the Nearest Tube 3GS iPhone app. This application helps the users locate the nearest tube station in Central London. Once activated, the application uses the iPhone camera, GPS and compass to locate the nearest tube. When held flat, the app shows an arrow pointing in the right direction and it shows an arrow upwards to show information like distance, relevant tube lines and other stacked stops. This app will certainly come in handy if you are stuck in some god forsaken place. Hope Acrossair registers this app with Apple store soon and comes up localized versions for other cities around the world too.
