The most successful in the Apple iPod line just got upped to the sixth generation with the announcement of iPod Classic. It sports all new kinds of features to justify the buzz and hype surrounding it. It sports an all-new interface, headlined by Cover Flow. It will be available in 80GB and 160GB capacities, with 30 hours of battery for audio playback, 6 hours of video on the 80GB version, and 40 hours / 7 hours for the 160GB player. The Classic will feature a new all-metal shell.

The Apple iPod Classic will sell for $249 for the 80GB and $349 for 160GB. You can order one today else head to the Apple Store this weekend.

The Classic's display is a 2.5in, 320 x 240, 163dpi with and LED backlight for brighter visuals but reduced power consumption. This revamped version of standard click wheel iPod is offered only in silver and black. Roam around with all your music as the 80GB iPod classic model is $249 (US) and the 160GB iPod classic is $349 (US).

    I was just wondering how many songs, photos, and movies the 160GB Ipod Classic holds. Also if the Ipod is treated like mint, how long would it roughly last for?
