The N703i μ (mu) is among the slimmest WCDMA clamshell around. It is just 11.4 mm thin. It is made of some alloy of magnesium and resin. The display is an impressive 2.3 inches wide QVGA screen supporting a resolution of 240 x 345 pixels. Like laptops the internal display features a privacy feature which makes the display unreadable from the side. There is no fancy color external display but an arrangement of LED lights which indicate using alphabets and simple symbols. The phone's camera supports a standard resolution of 1.3 Megapixels. Other features include media playback and Micro SD card slot.

The NEC’s N703i μ measures 103×49×11.4mm and weighs 90g. It comes in three colors, namely, red, green and brown. The Japanese input system loads "MogicEngine" which seems like a T9 dictionary in Japanese.
