Nav-U software for PSP’s GPS Add-on from Sony Japan

gps_for_psp.jpg Sony and Zenrin have teamed up to make new navigation software for the PSP. This will be exclusive to Japan and it will be arriving on November 5th at Y8190. All the features of the Nav-U experience are there, including a powerful search and walking routes. The most interesting part is the come-back of PlaceEngine which you can use on this software. PlaceEngine is basically GPS through WiFi. There are a lot of people in Japan using this technology too. This software will really excel at being for pedestrians in Japan, as it has information for sidewalks, crossings, subway, and so forth. If they bring this kind of GPS technology to the US, it would be excellent. But when?
