Pioneer_NavGate_500_1.jpg The NavGate 500 (aka Pioneer AVIC-F500BT) will be coming to Europe in a couple of months. The device has a 5.8" screen with 800×480 pixel (WVGA) resolution, which is its USP. And similar to HP iPAQ 310, and Garmin nüvi 5000, the NavGate 500 features hands free Bluetooth kit from Parrot, an RDS/TMC module for traffic information, voice commands, a processor running at 600 MHz and the SiRF StarIII GPS chip. It feature maps from TeleAtlas covering 30 European countries including Greece, Poland, the Czech republic, Slovenia, Croatia, Slovakia, Romania and Turkey. Another USP is that the device hooks onto the car stereo through Mosfet 50 amplifier.

AV, USB port, iPod connection, and an SD card slot are standard with NavGate 500, thus allowing you to connect various external audio and video devices. It will hit the European stores in May for 699 € or $1025.
