NASA predicts solar flare that may affect GPS services
When our service providers decide to mess with our GPS connections we change operators. When the sun decides that it’s going to mess with all services there’s nothing to do but to pray to the Gods. NASA have predicted that the sun’s going to go all nasty and wild with some crazy storms and flares in the coming few years that will totally mess with our GPS satellites.
The projected date hovers sometime around 2012. It’s called Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) and the phenomenon occurs once every 11 years.
