NASA had originally teamed up with Oceaneering International to overhaul NASA’s space suit. The Constellation Space Suit System will be designed in a modular fashion allowing the astronaut to use the same suit for different aspects of a mission. There is going to be a stylish debut of these suits on the new Orion spaceship which is planned to be launched in 2015. This will be the first major space suit redesign in over forty years.
