Motorola USBw 100 anywhere anytime WiMAX modem

motorola-usbw-100.jpg The Motorola has just launched a new WiMAX USB dongle for those dated PCs or laptops, which do not support Wi-Fi connectivity. The USBw 100 boasts easy connectivity with any laptop, along with multiple antennas to boost signal. This thumb-drive-sized device is available in three versions to connect to WiMAX networks in each of the three bands approved for use around the world. The Motorola USBw 100 plugs directly into laptop computers through –what else- the USB ports. All three frequencies will be supported: 2.3GHz, 2.5 GHz, and 3.5 GHz, although it was not clear whether each dongle could be used worldwide. Pricing for the new Motorola USBw 100 dongle will be set by the various operators, who will likely offer it as part of a service plan. It is expected to be out by Q4 2008.
